To assist an effort at cleaning up Cisco IOS configurations, I whipped up a small Unix-based script to list ACLs that were defined, but not in use on stored IOS configs. On the cisco-nsp mailing list I posted an initial version and within a few hours had enough feedback to include things I had forgotten, plus indication that it, or a derivitate version was put into an upcoming release of ACL_maker from the Cisco-centric Open Source Exchange Community tool (thanks Ed!). The current version here also takes a stab at identifying unused route-maps as well as ACLs. Click the software link at the top of this page to go to the software download page for a copy of this script.
